MERAKI FEST

The word “Meraki” simply means doing something with creativity or love – when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be!!! This is a platform given to students of GCC International School to explore their interest, develop their potential and sharpen their skill to perfection. As an educational institute, we strive to do something different and expose our students to futuristic education. The MERAKI FEST coincides with the celebration on the Children’s Day. A wonderful thought process is given to the students as a gift on Children’s Day. Students display their learning and gain confidence and competency to face the real world.

SYMPNOIA – TOGETHERNESS IS BLISS

Annual Day celebrations are a culmination for showcasing the abilities of the students before the parents and other dignitaries invited for the function. We believe in “TOGETHERNESS IS BLISS” and that is the meaning of SYMPNOIA.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

Sports Day is a celebration to display physical fitness of students in speed, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, aerobic capacity and anaerobic capacity. It provides opportunities for students to refresh from academics and excel at sport. Students develop self-esteem and self-confidence through positive sporting experiences. They also develop leadership skills and foster qualities of co-operation, tolerance, consideration, trust and responsibility when faced with group and team problem-solving tasks.

GRAND PARENTS DAY CELEBRATION

“Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over lives of our little children”
We encourage the bonding with our grandparents and invite the grandparents of our students to attend our school event. We encourage grandparents desirous to participate in dancing, singing, story-telling and art-work sharing on the stage. We support them with rehearsals before the event. We also felicitate those Grandparents who have contributed to society and the nation. It’s our way of showing gratitude through NAMAN.

RENDEZVOUS WITH PARENTS

Parent and teachers are the facilitators for students’ all round development. Rendezvous (PTM) help the school & home community to come in close contact. There is sharing & trust that develops with these meetings. The basic objective is welfare of the students. We at GCC International School help to communicate to parents the areas their child are excelling in and to give them specific ideas of how to improve upon their child’s performance in school. We use this platform to make a lasting bond with the parent to increase the likelihood of academic success for their child and not just as a venue to acknowledge the flaws and inabilities of students, but as a stepping stone to foster improvement within each child.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND BOOK EXHIBITIONS

We celebrate events like Parent Orientation, Parenting Sessions, Educational Workshops for Parents, Book Exhibitions and so on. Fun and learning should go hand in hand. Workshops help parents deepen their connection to their children and foster self-love, responsibility, resiliency and self-esteem.
