Teaching various languages optimizes a child’s learning potential, helping them to become more flexible and acquire language naturally. Research proves that learning multiple languages enhances the child’s overall verbal ability, improves their cognitive performance and problem solving skills.
At GCC International School, English is the primary language and mode of communication. Oral Hindi and Marathi language are introduced as early from Grade 1 onwards.
After getting fluent and comfortable, Hindi and Marathi (oral & written) is introduced from Grade 3 onwards.
At the secondary level, students study three languages –
• English being the first language.
• An option between Hindi and French as second language.
• And third language is any regional language that student can choose i.e. Marathi / Sanskrit / Tamil etc.
Presentations, speeches, debates, research based activities, creative writing are just some of the ways through which students explore their own potential.
